Prince Charles and Prince William were reportedly not willing to meet Donald Trump.

Trump and his wife, Melania, met Queen Elizabeth II on Friday. However, the Prince of Wales and the Duke of Cambridge reportedly snubbed the President of the United States.

[post_ads]"This business of Prince Charles and Prince William not being there for the Trump visit was a snub," a source told The Times. "They simply refused to attend. It's a very, very unusual thing for the Queen to be there on her own. Usually, she is accompanied by somebody. Prince Charles has been substituting for Philip a lot recently."

Prince Philip, 97, has retired from his royal duties. However, the insider added that the senior royal could have been there if he wanted to.

"He goes to what he wants to go to, and if he had wanted to be there he could have been," the source added.

However, the publication noted that Prince Charles and Prince William were committed to other engagements on the same day. The Prince of Wales had a board meeting for his company AG Carrick at Highgrove. He also had an event with Gloucestershire police. On the other hand, Prince William played at a charity polo match. Prince Harry had private engagements, too.

It can be remembered that Trump made comments when Middleton's private photos were published in a magazine in 2012. "Kate Middleton is great--but she shouldn't be sunbathing in the nude--only herself to blame," Trump said.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge sued the magazine and received $123,022 payout in 2017. However, in June the French lawyers appealed the case in Versailles, West Paris. According to them, the fines were "exaggerated for a simple privacy matter" which fines often amount to only $133.

They also pointed out that it would be "hypocritical" for Prince William and Middleton to claim such compensation when the other members of the royal family are happy with their sexy photos. The lawyers were implying at Meghan Markle's racy photos for a men's magazine.

"They are happy with sexy photos of themselves when they are in control, but then claim huge amounts of money when they're unauthorised," one legal source said. "There's ridiculous hypocrisy involved, and the outrageous compensation figure reflects this."
